WATER

Water is supplied to each home by the Highland Lakes Water District (HLWD). The business office phone number is 719-687-7937. If there is no answer or the call is placed after business hours, please leave a message.

NOTE! If the call is for an emergency after business hours and involves the property shutoff valve or the meter, call the Water District emergency number (719-247-1191) given on the Customer Service phone message. If the emergency is in your house and does not involve the property shutoff valve or the meter please contact a local plumbing company. Also, please locate where your in-house water shutoff valves are located (usually on both sides of the meter). Closing these valves will minimize property damage and loss of water until a plumber can resolve the issue. If you cannot locate the shutoff valves, please call (in advance of an emergency) the water district business office. The Office Manager will arrange for the water operator to come to your house and locate the valves for you.
